Stars:

Pros:

The pure luxury and style which runs throughout the hotel, the pool in the exquisite garden and then central location in a beautiful Bangkok neighbourhood.

Cons:

None come to mind, but perhaps offering a shuttle bus for guests to reach all big malls at any time would be useful.

Verdict

The perfect synergy of Swiss luxury with Thai hospitality in the centre of Bangkok with its very own tropical garden.

Whatever you imagine Bangkok to look like, it will appear totally different once you’ve checked into the Swissotel Nai Lert park.  It has its very own tropical park nestling a swimming pool and bar in its centre serving as the perfect oasis from the humidity and bustle of this big city.  From the time we walked up the carpeted steps into the luxurious lobby looking out over the garden, every member of staff we encountered smiled, greeted us and genuinely took an interest in our plans and our stay. Having lived in Thailand for 8 months prior to this, I can safely say that this is not the norm.

The rooms, our bed, the bronze detailed bathroom basin, the bath, the plush towels and the impeccable staff all oozed style and 5-star hospitality.  Everything was a luxurious experience; from the honey dripping from raw honeycomb at the breakfast buffet, to sleeping at night and arriving in your room to find the turn-down service staff have prepared your bed, slippers and left a chocolate on your pillow. Exclusive boutiques filled the hallways and displays of exquisite fabrics were on exhibition in the hallway.  The restaurant provided the ultimate views of the lush garden outside and the chefs preparing breakfast.  There has never been higher quality food in a hotel restaurant in Thailand from the fresh salmon, crisp bacon, sweet treats and fruits to the omelets, French toast and pancakes.

It is the perfect synergy of Swiss luxury with Thai hospitality and I can truly say that we did not want to leave.  If you’re in Bangkok and looking to really relax in place of beauty, luxury and nature, do yourself a favour and book into Swissotel Nai Lert Park.
