WildJunket Magazine April/May 2012

Posted December 7, 2012 by Alberto Molero in

Two months have whizzed by so quickly – the second issue of WildJunket Magazine is already here! This issue has a special focus on Africa – with a cover feature from our recent trip to Madagascar, a photo essay of the Big Five in Tanzania by professional photographer Peter West Carey, and a story on gorilla trekking in Uganda by experienced writer Andrea Wren.

Contributing Editor Candace Rose Rardon brings us on a spiritual trip through Sri Lanka in this issue, and finds renewed peace on this isle of Serendib; while Anya Oskolkova shares with us her knowledge on her favorite country in the world in our 10-page travel guide on Uruguay. Megan Eaves, an expert on China travel, takes us to the secret province of Inner Mongolia in China and shares her experience living in a yurt.

In our Under the Radar department, we’re featuring Kyrgyzstan, a country blessed with dramatic landscapes, untouched nature and some of the most hospitable people in the world. Our Feast section brings us to the explosive city of Seoul, South Korea, where we hunt down the best and most bizarre street foods. In this issue, we’ve also introduced a new section called Travel Sketches, where our multi-talented editor Candace gives us a glimpse of Kathmandu with beautiful watercolors and strokes. She’s also our columnist over at our Travel Thoughts section, and in this edition, she talks about the concept of ‘authentic’ travel.
