In This Issue

This issue kicks off with a cover feature on Palau, Micronesia, where we’ll uncover some extraordinary wildlife and phenomenon. We’ll then bring you down under to Tasmania, also known as the ‘island of inspiration’ on a campervan road trip, and over to New Zealand  to hike on the legendary Franz Josef Glacier.

We’ve also lined up a stunning photo essay of the spectacular Yi Peng Sky Lantern Festival in Chiangmai, Thailand by professional photographer and regular contributor Paul Xymon Garcia. In our Under the Radar section, we venture deep into the unchartered territories between Burma and India, known as Nagaland with Marco Ferrarese. For those who like food, our own Candace Rose Rardon writes about her culinary serendipities along the 88-temple pilgrimage in Shodoshima, Japan.

To top it off, Central Asia-based writer Stephen Lioy shares with us an extensive 10-page travel guide on the Silk Road. In our Stay section, we bring you to an eco-friendly private island resort in the Great Barrier Reef – perfect for a summer jaunt.

Also in this issue: Our editor Kenza Moller has just taken over the Travel Rant column, and in her first essay, she discusses the quirks of law abroad. Over at our Travel Thoughts section, columnist Candace Rose Rardon makes us think about when is the right time to stop counting our pennies.
